Rhino 7 is the biggest update in our history. You can create organic shapes with our new SubD tools. Run Rhino and Grasshopper as a Revit plugin with Use the robust QuadRemesh algorithm to create a beautiful quad-mesh from geometric or NURBS networks. With this release, we have unlocked completely new modeling workflows and refined many ongoing features.

Dsub
For designers who need to quickly explore organic shapes, SubD is a new type of geometry that can create very precise and editable shapes. Unlike other types of geometry, SubD combines freeform precision while enabling fast editing.

QuadRemesh
Quickly create a quad mesh from existing surfaces, solids, mesh or SubDsideal for rendering, animation, CFD, FEA and reverse engineering.
Presentation
In Rhino 7, we have improved the rendering tools, simplified your workflow with a major update to the Rhino rendering engine, so you can reproduce the same look you get in your Raytraced viewport without any changes. We have added support for PBR material, a LayerBook command and more

In Rhino 7, we fixed hundreds of bugs, but we’ve also added workflow enhancements such as named choices, mold making tools, an engraved line font, and improved third-party file format interoperability.

We are constantly refining Rhino’s display pipeline to keep pace with modern graphics hardware. In Rhino 7, some models will appear much faster on Windows and Mac. We have also made several improvements to Views to make them even more engaging as you work.
Documentation
Modeling is just one part of the design process; you also need to show how to build what is on the screen. We improved many parts of the documentation workflow and also focused on more graphic illustration tools such as transparency and gradient shadows.
grasshopper
Grasshoppers seem to be everywhere lately. As usual, we have a hard time keeping up (you may even see this familiar screen in other apps). In Rhino 7 we have added some new components, but we have also made it easy to turn your programs into plugins.
development platform
Rhino 7 provides major improvements to our free SDKs, with API refinements, better documentation and some important new features that expand and deepen the foundation of the geometry development platform.
